Fragments Of Who We Are: A seasonal lineup for a future project.
Writer: Walking into a book store somewhere in New York, your sure to find a story for all. A story that would transform your heart or inspire even the lamest of fools. Journeying into a stone garden somewhere in the desert, or even a lush tropical paradise somewhere in a foreign land, has the potential to certainly provoke feelings or emotions that we don't usually feel or consider, at least in everyday life. Or thoughts and theories we don't ponder daily at least. A sculpture, pottery, a fine painting, music and even the whittling of a fine piece of wood is considered to be the work of artists, and yes, they all promote the same things: a sense of value, inspiration, motivation, hope and even unity. Let’s face it, the ‘Statue Of Liberty’ is art, as much as the ‘Trojan horse’ .
Writer/Artist: Some works of art, are so impactful to cultures, religion and politics, you better believe it, the names of the artists will reign long after our departure. Check out this video. One I discovered in my own research while getting acquainted with artist, new and old, and yes, you better believe, some I have never even heard of. A moment of transformation, a story, a probe into memories, or even a simple artful presentation is usually whats experienced when you feast your imagination upon a good work of art.
Artist: Similarly, can be experienced in the work of myself. Or maybe I should say, in the mind of the writer or journalist interviewing someone, ‘Similarly could be experienced in the upcoming spring, summer, winter or autumn lineup of the artist, Brandon LaMont Cooper, who enjoys photography, writing and poetry’ lol.
Writer/Artist: Think of your existence or life experiences being presented to you as memories, or if part of your inspiration is found through memories, or inspirations delivered to you through the vehicle of art or memories and how you see or remember it. The memories or inspirations brought on by something you see, smell or dwell upon, are much like the books in the shops or in photos, paintings and even sculptures, are all so unique and good in there own way. Each memory or moment of inspiration holds great potential. Often provoking the opportunity to relive, remember or ponder upon the inspiration on any given Sunday.
Writer: There is a story that needs to be told, read, listened to or understood by self, that is, my self or yourself, and it can only be experienced in the “fragments Of Who We Are’ lineup. Think of the memories that come from seeing a bottle or a pacifier. Now think of the memories that come from seeing a briefcase or a resume for example. The entire life of the viewer has been lived in an instant. Now think of seeing a tassel or cap and gown, or even something that reminds them of prom. They now not only have a beginning and current memory, but a path to follow along the way, in an instant of thinking, from birth to current day. Growth and development that will lead them to where they are currently at in life. On that path they can create and dream, or try to make sense of anything in there mind. Think of it as the lesson of the memory, creating or reforming awareness and inspiration. Simply assisting humanity to evolve and develop into the ‘ascension of humanity’ needed to transcend or help do what conviction has already done, change and grow.
Artist: Depending upon the exposure, or ‘FAME’, the awareness or impact may vary. Lets face it, the more the world knows you, the more they are changed, moved or exposed through and by you. Strengthening the impact on humanity through humanity, using innovations such social influences like social media and exhibitions has done great works for upcoming and developing artist. WHATEVER, We got a gallery to maintain, is what I would tell my best friend in the face of a sour minded fool with no taste in art who just spent 10 minutes debating me on the artist.
Artist: So the line up would probe, an research who you are, self reflection I should say, where you come from and maybe transform you from what you have been. Growth usually comes after self awareness, age or important events in our life or something like that, and lets face it awareness brings a whole new future. Through! remembering the lessons of the past may be the key to fabricating a positive, productive and artful life. The beginning of the series lineup, or reflections and fragments could be customized. This season, seeking one emotion and the next, another. All based on fragments or small artifacts. The current idea is very simple, probe from birth and all its associates, then to the current state of life, your current day. Some artwork in the gallery could have a fragrance incorporation. An example would be something like, ‘The creator of the fragrance wishes to be associated with the art created, or rather the culture the arts assist in facilitating’. Let’s say one creator wanted his scents to be associated with such and such, or at lease be associated with the vibe created by the art. But such a partnership may destroy the true meaning of the art, and or assist in the facilitation and growth of the economy and brand or maybe only weakening the message you wish to transmit as an artist, but if that's the case, simply label that art solo or something. PROBLEM SOLVED. The lineup and theme is a great idea. The emotional responses that would be experienced when gazing upon the art, reliving your history, memories and acceptances, wins an losses or inspirations promotes healing effect all on it’s own. Check out this video I discovered while seeking and learning. ‘How Art Heals Or Soul’ Peaceful life and all that. Art delivered in a mindful way.
Writer: A good meal, good culture, a nice talk, and a chance to grow while explaining our interest in the art may be a good idea, and or our only path, not only in life but in art exploration, you know? talking about art and culture over a meal. Who knows adding politics and family and culture into the conversation, just may be the only way to express our own art as nations or people just trying to live and maybe discover our own art while seeking to discover who we are, from our own experience. Getting to the roots of the cause and airing out our own dirty laundry while we’re at, has been know to have healing effects on our own mind, and placing us one step closer to total unity as a species, and also a culture of artist on the brink of transformation.
Writer: The current phase or era of art I'n my opinion is amazing, says the artist. Today’s culture and artist are technically the same, ‘Historical And Timeless’ in every sense of the phrase. And at the same time, new and innovative and ready to change the world, or at least their own, or maybe art is apart of the artist and maybe there isn't any motivation; maybe the art is so spectacular, that it couldn’t be contained.
Artist: People are often impacted and moved through the art of others, and it’s all around us. We see it everyday. I was recently inspired by Vincent van Gogh’s ‘Stary Night’. A work or art that I have seen pretty much all my life, but never new the artist. I’m 35 and just beginning to make artist association, looks light it’s gonna be a whole new future of thoughts every time I gaze into night’s sky. The point being made, we never stop learning or growing, and at any point in any time, an artist can discover their an artist and go to work producing there art, working on there own path or changing culture. Or maybe just expressing themselves.
Writer: No matter the art style or artist, the effects of art seem to ring loud and true, and has been since the dawn of time, says the cave paintings all over the world. With culture evolving nonstop at the same time never changing. We can expect the future of art will only grow better and better, while never changing, remaining authentic and genuine all it’s days, like a bottle of fine wine hidden away in some cellar somewhere in Virginia. See the article ‘American Vintage’ in ‘Travel And Leisure’ To get a sense of the growing wine culture going on in the U.S. these days.
Captivating the world with the same frequency of inspiration that's inspired countless generations, art seems to have it’s very own sound, so-to-say. A sound that creates hope and inspiration. A sound that is here to stay, and work from the core of humanity through ever individual viewer.
