Team Graham And Studstill Of Eastman Georgia Hard At Work In The Development Of The Ongoing Project.

A note for the local community. If you could have been out-and-about around lunchtime on January 4, 2023 over by the Jean Gillis Memorial Park in Soperton Georgia, you could have had the pleasure of meeting a group of the finest young men the community has to offer. Currently under development, is what the sign says to be a farmers market. Any details of the project to me is still unknown at this time, however, anytime there is development in the community that holds the potential of not only bringing people together for purpose and a good time, but also contributing to growth within the community, it is without doubt a very special occasion. Directly behind the worksite, is a whole nother operation that is currently not in operation, primarily due to the time of day and time of the year. The park hosts entertainment for people in the community of all ages. A walking track for those seeking to spend some time outdoors, birdwatching, photographing nature or maintaining their health perhaps. Centering the walking track is a playground, a playgroup that would normally be echoing with the laughter of child's play. Let’s face it, during these times of the year, it don't take long for that cool air to chill you to the bone, and have even the grownest of adults complaining and ready to leave, ready to return to the warmth remaining beneath the throw blanket they left on the couch before venturing outdoors for a walk, or for that casual trip to the farmers market. The playground hosts entertainment for hours, maybe just what the adults need from time to time, and maybe what the children want. There is also a stage for the local artists, musicians, bands or anyone wishing to present themselves for whatever reason, just beyond the playground as well. It is very possible that during the right time of the year, all these elements could come together quite nicely, creating an environment worth remembering, an environment that would have even the current developing youth sharing stories with here grandchildren someday. Stories of sights, smells, sounds, tastes and maybe even the memories of their own children's laughter captivating the crowd during a time not much different from today. Lets see how it goes, stay positive, stay hopeful and stay happy.
